Umaira Ahmad has succeeded in writing a book that holds much more substance than the average love story. Even more so, this novel is about, how everything happens for the best. The characters are embedded in a world, where everything goes wrong just to turn out right for them.

A beautiful story of two people whose lives changed for the better.

Peer e Kamil deal with life in general, rather than anything else. This novel provides spiritual clarity and teaches the beauty of Islam in a remarkable way. The pace, the storytelling, the dialogues, everything was on point. With such amazing charisma, Umaira Ahmad has written this profound novel on how a man with so many talents is surpassed by an average girl when it comes to arriving on the Sirat e Mustaqeem (path of righteousness).

What is the Story of Peer E Kamil?

This novel negotiates the intervening lives of two characters, a girl named Imama Hashim and a boy named as Salaar Sikandar. Imama Hashim belongs to a family that is a part of the Ahmadiyya Community and has to influence the other people in the community. (Ahmadiyya Community originated on 23 March 1889 due to the life teachings of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835–1908). He claimed that he has been spiritually appointed as a guided one. The term Ahmadiyya was derived from the alternative name of Muhammad Ahmad, and thus, named as Ahmadiyya or general Ahmadis.) Imama realized herself in the wrong way and decided to change religion and accepted Islam. Islam is a dominating religion all over the world. According to Islam Muhammad (S.A.W) is the last prophet and He (S.A.W) had never declared any successor. This faith is firmly held by Muslims in the world.

As she accepted Islam and ran away leaving her family due to their influence on her decision. She took the help of Salaar Sikandar who’s a Muslim and a totally different person and a weak follower of religion who tried suicide just to understand the meaning of pain.

What is next to ecstasy?
Pain.
What is next to pain?
Nothingness.
What is next to nothingness?
Hell
.”

The main theme of the story revolves around the girl who sacrificed for religion and the boy who came to the right path after some incidences of life. This novel teaches us that there’s no one more powerful except Allah. He chooses people who are in search of Him. He tests their faith by passing them through many hurdles. This is all done to make His people stronger and more firm in the faith. But He never leaves His believers alone. He shows miracles and His mercy and lets the other people know about His blessings on His believers.

Uss ne zindagi main pehli baar chot khayii thi aur zindagi main pehli baar parnay wali chot toh baray baron ko rula deti hai.

This novel also shows the other aspect of society in which a boy with an IQ level above 150 got the best education. But he was kept ignorant of the teachings of Islam. He does sins but never realizes it. But some incidents made him aware of the power of Allah. He searches for the right path and Allah chooses him.

How Will Peer E Kamil Change Your Perspective on Life?

It depends on who wants that change. Surely, Allah listens and knows what’s in our hearts. Great characterization showed by Umera Ahmed in this book. Your heart totally went out for Salar even when you knew he wasn’t a good guy — what a great way to craft a character in the book. It is really a masterpiece of Umera Ahmed and no doubt the book has a magic spell . Although it is totally a fiction novel after reading this you will just think that maybe Salar Sikandar exists or Imamah exists in this World. The concepts, the characters, the dialogue every single thing in the book was amazing.

Conclusion: Why You Should Read Peer E Kamil

This novel is not revolving around so-called worldly love, it’s about how you come to know that there is only Allah who is really with you in each and every moment of your life. There always comes a stage — when one really feels “nothingness” in his life, where he would realize there is no one except him and the Great Allah. The writer has explained the reality of the actual peace of a person.

So, if a person sins or disobedience of Allah due to a lack of guidance and then realizes it, reforms it. Allah forgives the people who repent thereafter and reform. There is no one more loving than Allah, and there should be a dominating love of Allah in our hearts. Love for Allah and His Prophet (S.A.W) should be more dominating, powerful, and before all other relations. One who sacrifices for Allah and ceases all other ties for the sake of Him is blessed with more respect and love by Allah.
